History

Gramflex is a family business created in 1997 by Mr. Serge Giroud.

Mr. Giroud has always been a specialist in industrial coatings, ranging from mortar to specialized floors (super insulating, easy to maintain, ultra resistant ...).

A visionary and self-taught chemist, he first worked in the construction of bridges and tunnels by offering an innovative mortar solution, especially in waterproofing performance.

At the time the company was called Monile. Building on this know-how, on which he relied, he then developed a solution particularly suited to the soils of the agro-food industry, for areas such as butchery and slaughterhouses, …

This solution is impact resistant, waterproof, easy to maintain and install. After selling part of his activities and his patents in 1997, Mr. Giroud created his last company, Gramflex, to launch his latest idea, a versatile product meeting many needs in the field of insulation and impermeability.

This product, the Monoflex binder, mainly intended for waterproofing, was designed from the start taking into account environmental protection, energy savings and health, thanks to harmless components.

Today, the company still based in Haute-Savoie, is managed by Mr. Victor Le Borgne, his grandson.

Our product : the Monoflex

For historical reasons, but also practical and logistical reasons, our product is made in Spain.

It is currently used for the internal coating of water heaters, in particular solar water heaters, but also for directional drilling.

There are many other possible applications, as long as insulation and waterproofing are strong criteria in the manufacture.

Monoflex is a polymer that is applied inside the tank mixed with cement and silica. This will serve as a coating to protect the container (water) from the contents (the tank or cistern)

Monoflex has also proved its worth in the field of drilling where, linked to the bentonite, it permits to maintain the tunnel and to strengthen it in order to allow efficient drilling.

It is an admixture specializing in the insulation and waterproofing of mortars for the building and construction sectors but also all concrete coatings.

Today more than 90% of mortars are admixed, which gives them high durability and more complete characteristics.

It is applied on steel and concrete support, tank, cistern and pipes
